    Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day exploring this majestic city.

    Day 3: Istanbul

    Istanbul’s blend of East and West has resulted in the most magnificent architecture in the world. Your full-day tour* with lunch takes you to the old city’s masterpieces – the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome, Agia Sophia and Topkapi Palace. The last stop is the Grand Bazaar where you can find your own treasures! *St. Sophia Museum is closed on Monday. Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesday. Grand Bazaar is closed on Sunday.

    Day 4: Istanbul

    Day at leisure. There is so much to see and do. Visit the Church of the Holy Savior (Chora) to see beautiful Byzantine mosaics, take a cruise on the Bosphorus, see Dolmabahce Palace, or visit the Ecumenical Patriarchate, the center of the world’s Orthodox Christians, with St. George Cathedral housing historic icons and a column from Christ’s flogging.

    Day 5: Istanbul / Bodrum

    Transfer to the airport for your flight to Bodrum. Transfer to your hotel.

    Day 6, 7 & 8: Bodrum

    This charming resort town sits on the foundations of ancient Halicarnassus. Sunbathe on one of the beautiful beaches or dive the waters off Bodrum which are full of caverns and reefs. Don’t miss Bodrum’s Castle of St. Peter jetting out into the center of Bodrum’s two harbors. It also houses the Museum of Underwater Archaeology. Other must-sees are the magnificent Mausoleum of Mausolus – one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the ancient walls, the Myndos Gate and the ancient Theater. Not too far is ancient Ephesus & the House of the Virgin Mary, Pamukkale, with its white mineral cliffs, the traditional Turkish town of Mumcular known for its olives, grains, vegetables and hand-made carpets, and Dalyan, a fishing village from where you can take a cruise to Iztuzu Beach (Turtle Beach) – one of the last breeding grounds for the Caretta or loggerhead turtles. You may also go Greek for a day! There are ferries operating from Bodrum to Kos, Greece daily.

    Day 9: Bodrum / Istanbul / Home

    Transfer to the airport for your flights home.
