Mykonos Half Day City & Island Tour

Optional Mykonos Day Tour

Mykonos is the jet-set island of the world. The whiteness of the homes and buildings against the blue sky and sea has made this island one of the most famous in the world. This island is known for its fabulous white sand beaches and turquoise blue sea.

You will start the City and Island tour by walking through the small and narrow streets of Chora (Mykonos Town) where you will have many opportunities to take lovely photographs. Your guide will provide you with full orientation and information regarding the labyrinth of the old town as well as the small port and the local churches. Of course you will see the famous wind-mills and find Petros the Pelican, the mascot of Mykonos.  Following the city tour you will continue by bus, visiting some of the most famous beaches and the inner landscape of the island where you will see local fishermen and kaikis (small fishing boats), small private chapels and houses built in typical cycladic style.

You will then continue on to the second main village of Mykonos, Ano Mera, an idyllic place approximately 3 miles from town, where you will have enough free time for a stroll around the traditional square and visit the monk monastery Panagia Tourliani built in the 16th century.

Next stop is Kalafatis beach where you will have time to relax and have a cup of coffee or refreshment (not included in the price). On your way back to town, you will stop for a photo opportunity offering a fantastic view all over the town and neighboring islands.
