    Day 1: Depart the U.S. for Athens

    Depart the U.S. for Athens

    Day 2: Athens (Saturday)

    Yassou! You will be privately transferred to your hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Stroll through the Plaka area where buildings have been restored to their original splendor and enjoy lunch at one of the tavernas.

    Day 3: Athens (Sunday)

    Morning tour of Athens including the Acropolis and its Museum. Afternoon of leisure to visit the National Archaeological Museum or take a "metro" ride in the beautiful subway of Athens.

    Day 4: Athens / Chania, Crete (Monday)

    You will be privately transferred to Athens Airport for your flight to Chania, Crete. Upon arrival, pick up your rental car and drive to your hotel. Balance of day at leisure to enjoy the quaint port town of Chania.

    Day 5: Crete (Tuesday)

    Today, the goddess Demeter's influence is again present as you enjoy the Tastes of Crete, a hands-on journey through Crete's culinary traditions. Set in an 18th century farmhouse surrounded by organic gardens, you will learn to prepare a number of Cretan dishes directed by a local cook. Enjoy the fruits of your labor along with Cretan wines and cheese-tasting.

    Day 6: Crete (Wednesday)

    A free day in Crete. Explore quaint Chania or one of the other nearby towns, trek the Samaria Gorge or enjoy a day at one of the nearby pristine beaches.

    Day 7: Crete / Santorini (Thursday)

    Drive to Heraklion pier in the early morning. Your car will be returned at the pier. Board your hydrofoil to Santorini where you will be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the Caldera in Santorini, the diamond of Greece!

    Day 8: Santorini (Friday)

    Day at leisure to explore Santorini, thought to be the lost continent of Atlantis. Take a sunset dinner cruise to see the famous Santorini sunset.

    Day 9: Santorini (Saturday)

    Dionysus is the Greek god of wine! Santorini wines are among the finest in Greece, and today you will sample the wines of three local wineries.

    Day 10: Santorini / Athens (Sunday)

    You will be transferred to Santorini Airport for your return flight to Athens to connect with your transatlantic flight.
