(short stop). Drive to Epidaurus and visit the

through the plain of Argos on to Mycenae. Visit the
archeological site and the Tomb of Agamemnon.
Depart for Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic
games, through the cities of Tripolis, and
Megalopolis (short stop). Dinner & overnight
stay in Olympia.
Day 2: Visit the archeological
site with the temple of Zeus, the temple of Hera,
the altar of the Olympic flame, the Stadium, and
the museum of Olympia. Depart via Patras (short
stop) to Rion, cross the channel to Andirion over
the "state of the art" new suspended bridge, the
most modern in Europe. Arrive in Nafpaktos and then
continue to Delphi, known in ancient times as the
navel of the world. Dinner & overnight in
Delphi.
Day 3: Visit the archeological
site with the Temple of Apollo and the Athenian
Treasury and the museum of Delphi housing the
famous bronze statue, the Charioteer. Depart from
Delphi and drive through Central Greece and the
cities of Lamia, Trikala, to Kalambaka, a small
town built at the foot of the majestic gray rocks
and crowned by the Meteora monasteries. Dinner
& overnight stay in Kalambaka.
Day 4: Return to Athens passing by
the heroic monument of Leonidas at
Thermopylae.
