Day 1: Depart US for Cairo (Sunday)
Enjoy your flight from New York to mystical Cairo.

Day 2: Cairo (Monday)
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our representative, assisted through formalities and escorted to your hotel. Remainder of the day at your leisure to explore this vibrant city.

Day 3: Cairo (Tuesday)
Morning visit to the famous Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, housing the
largest collection of ancient monuments in the world, including the golden treasures of Tutankhamen. Lunch served at the historic Mena House. Continue to the Great Pyramids of Giza, the only surviving wonders of the ancient world. Enter one of the Great Pyramids and visit the Solar Boat Museum to view the cedar-wood boat discovered in 1954. Enjoy your camel ride! Continue to the Great Sphinx carved out of a single stone, and visit the Valley Temple of Chephren adjacent to it. (B,L)

Day 4: Cairo/Aswan/Kom Ombo (Wednesday)
Early morning transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, transfer to your cruise ship for a 4-day/3-night Nile Cruise. You may consider an optional excursion to Abu Simbel. After lunch, visit the High Dam and the Granite Quarries, site of the Unfinished Obelisk. Proceed by motorboat to the Temple of Philae, shrine of the goddess Isis. The Temple was dismantled and moved from its original site. The boat sails to Kom Ombo. (B,L,D)

Day 5: Kom Ombo / Edfu / Luxor (Thursday)
Visit the Greco-Roman Temple of Kom Ombo dedicated to Haroeis, the falcon-headed god and Sobek, the crocodile. Sail to Edfu. Upon arrival in Edfu, travel by horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Edfu, the most intact Temple in Egypt dedicated to the sun god, Horus. Sail to Luxor. Overnight in Luxor. (B,L,D)

Day 6: Luxor (Friday)
Cross the Nile to visit the Valley of the Kings and the Queens where the Pharaohs of the New Kingdom began their underworld trip to eternity. Proceed to the terraced Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the first female to rule Egypt as a true Pharoah. Stop at the site of the Colossi of Memnon facing the Nile. Overnight in Luxor. (B,L,D)

Day 7: Luxor / Cairo (Saturday)
This morning, visit the Temple of Karnak, the largest religious complex in the world where the ancient Pharaohs recorded their glory on its walls, columns and obelisks. Continue to visit the Temple of Luxor with its elegant colonnaded court. Disembark and transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo. (B)

Day 8: Cairo / New York (Sunday)
Transfer to the airport for your departure flight. (B)
