Day 1: Depart US for Cairo (Saturday)
Enjoy your overnight flight from New York to Cairo.

Day 2: Cairo (Sunday)
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our representative, and transferred to your hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 3: Cairo (Monday)
Begin your day with a visit to the famous Egyptian Museum of antiquities. Lunch at the historic Mena House. Continue to the plateau of Giza to visit the Great Pyramids. Enjoy a camel ride, enter one of the Great Pyramids and visit the Solar Boat Museum. Continue to the timeless Sphinx and the Valley Temple of Chephren. (B,L)

Day 4: Cairo / Abu Simbel / Aswan (Tuesday)
Morning transfer for a flight to Abu Simbel. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the magnificent site of the two rock Temples of Ramses II and his Queen Nefertari. Return to the airport for your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival in Aswan, you will be transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a peaceful felucca ride (sailing boat) to view the Elephantine Island, the Botanical Garden and the impressive Agha Khan Mausoleum. Overnight in Aswan. (B,L,D)


Cairo

Day 5: Aswan / Kom Ombo (Wednesday)
This morning, you will be transferred to your cruise ship for a 4-day/3-night Nile Cruise. After lunch, visit the High Dam and the Granite Quarries, site of the Unfinished Obelisk. Proceed by motor-boat to the Temple of Philae, shrine of the goddess Isis. The boat sails to Kom Ombo. (B,L,D)

Day 6: Kom Ombo / Edfu / Luxor (Thursday)
Visit the Greco-Roman Temple of Kom Ombo. Sail to Edfu. Upon arrival in Edfu, travel by horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Edfu. Sail to Luxor. Overnight in Luxor. (B,L,D)

Day 7: Luxor (Friday)
Cross the Nile to the Valley of the Kings and the Queens. Visit the terraced Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Stop at the site of the Colossi of Memnon. Overnight in Luxor. (B,L,D)

Day 8: Luxor / Cairo (Saturday)
This morning, visit to the Temple of Karnak, the largest religious complex in the world, where the ancient Pharaohs recorded their glory on its walls, columns and obelisks. Continue to visit the Temple of Luxor with its elegant colonnaded hall. Disembark and transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo. (B)

Day 9: Cairo / New York (Sunday)
Transfer to the airport for your return.
