Day 1: Depart New York / Amman (Sunday)
Depart for Amman, Jordan.

Day 2: Amman / Petra (Monday)
Drive to Petra for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Petra (Tuesday)
Enjoy breakfast. Early afternoon tour of Petra. You are in the heart of the Seir Mountains, mentioned in the Bible in Genesis. These mountains house the Aaron Peak and the burial place of Aaron, Moses’ brother. A walk through Siq, the main entrance of Petra for 1250 years, brings you to a monument which may look familiar from the Indiana Jones movie! Walk through outer Siq with it tombs and burial chambers to one of the largest theaters in Jordan carved in the sand stone mountains. Visit the Royal Tombs – Urn, Corinthian, Sikl and Palace tombs. Optional walk to the church of Petra to see its mosaics. Look at the Pharaoh’s daughter palace, a Nabatean tomb. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Petra (Wednesday)
Depart Petra for Israel. Drive along the Exodus route along the historical King’s Highway. Pass by the well preserved crusader city of Kerak. Drive through Wadi Mujeb to Umm al Rassas and onto Madaba. Here the mosaic floor from the 6th century showing the map of the Holy Land as Christian pilgrims knew it then. Continue to Mt Nebo from where God showed Moses the Promised Land. Drive down to the recently discovered baptismal site of “Bethany beyond the Jordan”. It is strongly suggested the baptismal of Christ by St John the Baptist took place very close to Beit Abara. Continue to the Allenby Bridge. Clear formalities and cross into Israel. Meet your Holy Land guide and drive to Tiberias for dinner and overnight.

ST. CATHERINE'S MONASTERY & THE PYRAMIDS OF EGYPT
4 DAY EXTENSION TO BE ADDED AFTER THE HOLY LAND TOUR

Day 8: Jerusalem / Taba / St. Catherine's (Tuesday)
Departure for Taba. Pass through the Valley of Elah, the site of David and Goliath’s battle, through Adullam, where David took refuge from Saul and on to Beersheba, ancient city of Judah. Continue to Eilat, the Red Sea and cross into Egypt at Taba. Drive towards St Catherine’s Monastery, and Mr Sinai, the site of Moses receiving the Ten Commandments. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 9: St. Catherine's / Mt. Sinai / Cairo (Wednesday)
For those who wish to climb Mt Sinai (this is a very rigorous climb taking approximately 5–6 hours and clearance from your doctor is highly recommended), very early AM climb to watch the sunrise. Climb back down and visit the Monastery to see the Burning Bush and the Chamber of Skulls. Depart for Cairo for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Cairo (Thursday)
After breakfast, visit the Egyptian Museum with its most well known exhibition of the findings from the tomb of King Tut. See Old Cairo. Afternoon visit to the Pyramids and Sphinx. Enjoy a camel ride! Dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Cairo / Home (Friday)
Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
